Improve Your Musical Listening Skills [i.e. Ear Training]

If any of you want some ear training, then take a look at the links in the remainder of the blog. I appreciated these links, because they give you a lot of practise, and because they help you to memorize the sounds.

Improve Your Rythm

I have been using this special metronome. It stops ticking, to challenge you to keep the beat on your own. I use it for that, as well as double tonguing, triple tonguing, and syncopated rhythms. I recommend it for all people who need to practise this stuff.

Our Christmas Performance

We, the Vancouver Orchestra Club, will perform on Dec. 4. For tickets and times, check back at this blog, or our concerts page.

So far, it's been fun, listening to the Star Wars music on my computer, and reading the 3rd trumpet music at the same time. I think that I should be able to play most of it.

Counting In A Faster Tempo

I've struggled, all of my music life, with counting. "Playing In Half-Time" is a web page that helped out a little.
