Commentary On Genesis 1 - 3: Food And Sin
I was searching for the first mentioning of death and poverty in the Bible, and I found myself wandering into Genesis 2 & 3. An interesting thing that caught my attention was the fact that a couple of things were food related: God cursed the soil and the food aspect of our lives; and our first sin was eating. Is it possible that there is symbollism in eating? Please read the rest of my post and then give feedback.

Obeying The Bible Less?
I'm so amazed. Even in this day and age, there are people, who identify themselves as Christians, and kind of get paid to, but they seem to want to put off that identification.
Every time enemies encourage us to obey the Bible less, the members of the community search inward for comfortable opportunities to obey less.
The end. Thank you for reading!

"Church" As Defined In The Bible
I just realized for the first time that the word church
was used before Christ died on the cross. For those of you, who don't get the significance of this: this means that the word, church
, as used in the Bible, also included Old Testament believers. Before Christ died, everybody lived under the Old Testament laws. After he died, we lived under New Testament laws. The word, church
however, stayed the same.
This is significant for studying theology of the end times, and theology of the church.
It makes sense, too, because not all of Israel believed, yet there was a community of believers. These small communities became more visible during the exile, because they created synagogues.

Explanation For Passover And Easter Dates
Have you ever heard skeptics comment about how Christ could not have died on Friday, and risen on Sunday? A while ago, I came across this explanation about did die for 3 days and 3 nights. I remember being taught this in Bible college, but nobody else seemed to believe in it.

Better Understanding Of The Resurrection
Here is an excellent video that gives great information about the burial process of the Lord Jesus Christ, and his resurrection. 1 thing that I found so fascinating is that the substances created an epoxy that hardened like cement. You will need to fast forward to about 14:57.

The Nature And Rules Of Miracles
I think that the concept of miracles within the context of the Bible needs a little bit of defining. I encourage people to read about miracles, before proceeding, but that page is huge. Read the remainder of this blog entry to see what I think.

God Permits Suffering: We Are To Focus On Blessings
I am struggling to find work, status, and a relationship. It is so humiliating and painful for me. I consider it to be a great adversity. I think that I finally understand the purpose of suffering in general.
These verses are from Job 35.
9 By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make [the oppressed] to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty.
10 But none saith, Where [is] God my maker, who giveth songs in the night;
11 Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?
In those chapters, Elihu corrected Job, saying that Job needed to adjust his attitude. Elihu's comments were not about Job's attitude before the adversity. It was about Job's attitude during the adversity. In other words, Elihu says that we need to remember God's blessings during our adversity instead of focusing on the negatives.
This seems meaningful to me. We ought not be pitiful people who ask, Yeah, but what do I get out of it?
. After all, God sends rain on the good and the evil. The rain is a figurative curse and a literal blessing for both good and evil. We should really take that to heart, and then praise God for the benefits of rain, even when we get too much of it. In my personal situation, I should tell people about my current sufferings, and then mention the great times that I have had in life.

Honey Traps In Relationships
I read about women who are hired to catch men cheating by sleeping with them: The grandma and mum of four who is a £50k-a-year ‘honey trap’. There are guys who do the same to women. Read the remainder of the blog entry for my comments on the Biblical perspective.

Intelligent Design Vs. Evolution: Banana Designs
Ray Comfort claimed that a common banana is evidence of God's design, and then apologized for his misunderstanding. I am not phrasing it exactly as it was said, so you have to see it for yourselves. After you have looked at what he has said, read the remainder of the blog entry for my commentary on his statements.

Intelligent Design Vs. Evolution: Defects And Suffering
Sorry for not publishing this sooner. I only got a chance to really start writing it about 4.5 hours ago. I kept putting it off.
Evolutionists and atheists, seem to ask, If God really designed the world intelligently, then why did _______ turn out the way that it did?
.
To be concise: the complexity of animals [people included], and plants, is a testament to creation, but defects of animals, and of plants, do not prove evolution. Read on, for my more detailed answer.

Bible's View About End Times And About Increase In Wickedness
There have been a few unbelievers that claimed that we ought to be sinning more, if we really believe what we believe about the Bible. The Bible states that the increase in wickedness will correlate to us getting closer to the rapture. From a simplistic view point, the more we sin, the closer that day will be.
So, if we truly want to be raptured as soon as possible, then what stops us from sinning as much as possible? Read the remainder of the blog entry for my answer.

Mark Of The Beast And Biometric IDs
I like to pay a little bit of attention to privacy issues, regarding trade and business, because I think that the more we move towards a 1-world currency, and towards attaching our identification to our bodies, the closer we will get to the end times.
I read an article about biometric IDs being forced upon India's inhabitants. I began to wonder if this could be the mark of the beast. Read the remainder of the blog entry to see what I came up with.

The First Few Chapters Of Genesis
I like the first few chapters of the book of Genesis, from the Bible, because they act as a go-to reference, for comparisons of a perfect life, and an imperfect life. Throughout our lives, we can ask so many questions about life in general. Our culture portrays those questions and answers as trivial, but I prefer to portray them as critical. I believe that it is important that we answer these questions correctly, and answer them early on in life.
Read the remainder of the blog for all the questions that I can think of off the top of my head, that can definitely be answered [or at least answered in a reasonable way].
