Spanish Bullfighting Banned

I'm very glad to read about this: Spanish bullfighting ban: 'Finally, we've overcome this evil curse' - Out of Bounds - NBC Sports. It seems like such an unfair sport. I don't see any value to it, at all. I think that if I grew up in that culture, then I might be more inclined to appreciate it, but I think that my external perspective gives me more clarity.

  1. I am also glad -- human entertainment based on blood and violence is fairly wretched. People still want to watch roosters and dogs rip each other apart in pits, and the 'ultimate fighter' championship is only sub-gladiator entertainment. The motivation is the same -- to enjoy violence.

  2. It's cool to see that I'm not the only 1 still up.

I'm glad that we agree on this subject. I feel so sorry for the bull. With the blade stuck in its back, it must be in great pain, yet, there is nothing it can do. It seems so unfair to the bull. As far as I can tell, it did nothing.
